Dr. Troy Pierce joined The Bone & Joint Center in 1997. He is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who holds a certificate of added qualification for hand and microvascular surgery.
He specializes in the treatment of common and complex problems of the upper extremity such as carpal tunnel syndrome, wrist and elbow pain, and rotator cuff and shoulder problems.
Dr. Pierce is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH).

EDUCATION & TRAINING:
A native of Bowman, North Dakota, Dr. Pierce received his bachelor of science and a master’s degree in biochemistry from the University of North Dakota. He then attended the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences, where he received his medical degree.
After medical school, he spent five years training at the Spectrum Health/Michigan State University Orthopaedic Surgery Residency program in Grand Rapids. He then completed a one-year fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in hand and microvascular surgery.
