Dr. Joseph Carlson joined The Bone & Joint Center in 1994. He is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a focus on surgical treatment of knee and shoulder injuries and disorders. He specializes in video arthroscopy, joint replacement, ligament reconstruction, and sports-related injuries.
Dr. Carlson is a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA) and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS).

A native of Minot, North Dakota, Dr. Joseph Carlson received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Dakota. After earning his medical degree at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine, Dr. Carlson completed his residency training in orthopedic surgery at Akron General Medical Center in Ohio.
