Dr. Derrick Cote joined The Bone & Joint Center in 2014. He is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon.
Dr. Cote focuses on general orthopedics and surgeries of the upper extremities and foot and ankle such as total joint replacements and arthroscopies to treat disease, trauma, and sports injuries. He is the main orthopedic physician in the Dickinson office.
While attending med school, Dr. Cote volunteered at UND Center for Family Medicine and worked as a nursing assistant and intramural sports official. Dr. Cote is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS).

EDUCATION & TRAINING:
A native of Turtle Lake, North Dakota, Dr. Cote graduated summa cum laude and earned a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry at the University of North Dakota in 2005. In 2009, he obtained his medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Following medical school, he completed five years of orthopedic surgery residency training at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
