Dr. Duncan Ackerman joined The Bone & Joint Center in 2009. He is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with additional fellowship training in hand and microvascular surgery.
Dr. Ackerman specializes in the treatment of common and complex problems of the upper extremity including carpal tunnel syndrome, peripheral nerve injury, arthritis of the small joints of the hand and wrist, elbow and shoulder problems, and upper extremity trauma.

EDUCATION & TRAINING:
A native of Minot, North Dakota, Dr. Ackerman received his bachelor of arts from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. He then attended medical school at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences, where he received his doctor of medicine degree.
Following medical school, he completed his orthopedic surgery residency followed by a one-year fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
